Hopefully within the next month I will hit the first big weight loss milestone. 50 pounds lost! I only have 7 pounds to go until I get there, and I think I can achieve that by the end of this Detox phase.
So, I thought it was a good time to take inventory and update my goals. It's important to have lights shining at you from the end of the tunnel, and out at us along the way!
Here is a list of my official NEW weight loss goals! (psssst--some of them are carried over from the old list)
Long Term:
Health - Lower risk of diabetes, heart disease, cancer, etc
- Decrease knee pain.
- Increase energy levels
- Lose 155 pounds
- Add more fruits and veggies to my regular diet.
- Work unhealthy foods out of my regular diet
- Start running again
- Be able to Bike and Hike with my family
- Be able to race and keep up with my daughters as they grow
- My hubby to be able to carry me :-)
- Set a good example of healthy eating habits and activity for my children and others
- Wear at least one piece of single digit clothing!
- Shop at Thrift stores
- Get below a size 12
- Build the habit of having a consistent quiet time; Bible study and prayer everyday
- Live a more disciplined, orderly lifestyle that shows I practice what I believe
- Start writing poetry again
- Start writing down memories and stories from my daughters lives
Short Term:
These won't take as long and provide smaller victories along the way! Of course, these will change more often.
Health
- Reduce swelling in my legs, hands, and ankles
- Complete a full 21 days of Digestive Detox
- Get down into the 240's
- Start regular workouts
- Start and maintain a garden during the summer months
- Drop a dress size (get down to size 20/22)
- Wear the cute brown skirt and the green top hanging in my window!
- Go 2 weeks without missing a day of Bible study and Prayer
- Make time to Blog every day
- Set aside time to write/journal

You are so brave. Although, I have posted my stuggle with food adiction, I have never posted my stats on my blog.

Thank you ladies! I really struggled a long time before deciding to post my weight online. I finally decided to put it out there when I realized that it isn't a number on the scale the defines who we are. It's all the other things about us. The number is just our mass in relation to the earth's gravitational pull :-P
