A new House!

Here we are in November, and I have so much to write, and very little time to write it. At the beginning of September my husband and I became first time homeowners! Here are a couple pics:

Hallway: all that ugly carpet has been changed.
Sun Porch! Beautiful room, though the carpet has been changed since then.

MY KITCHEN! Complete with dish washer, stove, and a TON of cabinets!  All we had to get was the  refrigerator!
More cabinets in the kitchen! I love storage space!

I'll try to get more update pictures once I have things more decorated. Now we are all unpacked and settled, but I haven't hung anything on the wall and  a lot of the windows are still curtain-less.

Buying a house was a new experience for me. Exciting, but scary. And I am ashamed to say throughout the process of packing, moving, and unpacking I gained a lot of weight. 19 pounds to be exact.

That's right. Because of my lack of focus I am back up to 279. I could kick myself if I was limber enough. I feel weak and drained. No energy at all.

But it doesn't do any good dwelling on the mistakes we've recently made. I need to get on down the road and start again. Thankfully, I smacked myself awake before re-gaining everything, but I really hate having to re-learn habits. I have hooked up with a friend who has been more successful than I have and we are going to weigh in each week together. That will give me some accountability. I have also joined "Lose-it!" and am tracking my calories and weight loss there.

Please add me on Spark people and Lose it and kick my backside if I don't keep up with this stuff.

My tentative plan: (haven't sat down and written out specific goals yet)

  • Eat healthier items and less of them.
  • Start Couch to 5K again if I can find a treadmill someone will let me use 3 times a week.
  • Weigh in with a friend each week
  • Blog at least once a day

You're right.. no use dwelling on the mistakes.. doesn't get us anywhere.

I look forward to seeing you blog again!
