Late night snacking

Tonight I've been thinking a lot about why I want to eat all the time. I'm sitting here working on Christmas cards. Not hungry, not bored, but I feel like snacking.

WHY WHY WHY!???

I've got a 32 ounce water bottle sitting in front of me that is now down to 4 ounces and still I want to get a snack.

 WHY? WHY?WHY????

I don't need to eat, so I'm resisting the urge to run out to the kitchen and grab some cheese and crackers, but I really just wish I didn't WANT to run out to the kitchen and grab anything but a cup of tea or a bottle of water. I've already had some almonds. I don't need anything else, but I WANT it.

Why? Isn't there supposed to be an internal shut off valve that tells us when we don't need to eat anymore? Shouldn't my body tell me when I don't need to eat anymore?

I know how you feel. My shut-off valve doesn't work very well when I get in a "snacky" mood. Have you ever read the book, "Made to Crave". It's by Lysa TerKeurst and it's a WONDERFUL book. I think you'd like it.
PS Merry Christmas!!
